April 1 marks the 25th anniversary of the Foundation. Founder Joy Roth gathered several community leaders together to discuss the benefits of a a Community Foundation with the goal to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in Ottawa County. The Ottawa County Community Foundation was established in 1999 as a public charitable foundation. With a $5,000 grant from the Harry B. Stensen Foundation, the very first fund was created in December, 1999.
Cheers to 25 years!! The Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a Doing Good GALA on July 23 at the Catawab Island Club Pavilion. The evening will be filled with high energy entertainment from the Cleveland Keys Dueling Pianos as well as a live auction, reverse raffle, and a casual strolling dinner.
